Flaxstar Digital is a small web design and local marketing studio in Iowa. We build the kind of website and online presence that usually only bigger companies have, for the businesses that keep a town running.

Why we exist

Plenty of good businesses are nearly invisible online.

You can be the best in town and still lose work to a competitor who simply shows up first online. More and more, people decide who to call based on what they find in a few seconds of searching. If your business is hard to find, or the site they land on looks dated, they move on, often without ever telling you.

We started Flaxstar because so many local businesses get handed a slow, confusing website and then left to figure it out alone. We do the opposite. We build something clean and genuinely useful, explain it in plain language, and stick around to keep it working. No jargon, no pressure, no disappearing act.

  • Small businesses deserve to be taken seriously

    A shop or a one-person operation should get the same craft and attention a big company pays a fortune for. So that’s what we give them.
